Established in 1860 in San Francisco and dedicated to the pursuit of amateur athletic excellence, The Olympic Club enjoys the distinction of being America's oldest athletic Club. Comprised of more than 5,000 active members and with historic clubhouses located in downtown San Francisco and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Club members regularly participate in athletic and social events wearing the Club's internationally recognized 'Winged O'.
Building on Olympic Club tradition as the oldest athletic club in the country, the Olympic Club Foundation supports and encourages participation by Bay Area youth in amateur athletics.
Most of the Foundation's grants target disadvantaged youth growing up in challenged neighborhoods. The Foundation's mission has stayed consistent through the years: "to grant funds and support programs that share the belief that participation in organized athletics enriches young lives and develops future community leaders."
