IMPORTANT NOTE
Tickets must be purchased online, as there will be no in-person sales.
Refund Policy
The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square has a “No Refund Policy”. It does provide for refunds in very limited circumstances only – when a session is canceled or there is an extraordinary circumstance. If a refund is issued, it will not include the Convenience Fee.
Community Benefit
A portion of ticket proceeds benefit the community through the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.

ICE SKATES
Figure and hockey skate sizes range from toddler’s size 8 to adult’s size 15. You may also bring your own ice skates.
SKATE HELPERS
For beginning skaters under 48” in height: they offer SKATE HELPERS -- Penguin & Polar Bear Helpers that glide with the skater along the ice and help with balance and control. Skaters must be able to stand on their own and push the Helper by themselves. Others cannot push them.
Lockers & Conveniences
Lockers
Lockers may be rented for $5 and are large enough to hold a couple of pairs of shoes, a medium-size handbag and a few small purchases.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located in the Union Square Parking Garage. Since skates may not be worn outside of the ice rink, they recommend you use the facilities before putting on skates.PRIVATE PARTIES
Private Parties are available on select Mondays and Tuesdays during the 5:30 PM & 7:00 PM sesions.

Sessions are not open to the general public if sold to a private party.
BOOK PRIVATE PARTY >>RAIN POLICY
The Union Square Ice Rink remains open in light to moderate rain but may close in heavy and sustained rain at the discretion of Ice Rink management. If a manager determines that the ice is un-skateable due to inclement weather or has suspended skating due to hazardous conditions (storms, lightning), rain checks may be issued upon request in certain conditions.
